Kindergarten Graduation

All of us with the Mayor of Santa Ana.

Last Friday Mike and I had the opportunity to watch Fernando, Monica, and Daniela graduate Kindergarten. They were so proud as they marched us in their classroom and sat beside us. They grinned from ear to ear the entire time. I was so proud of them. I was equally thrilled that instead of the typical 4 hour ceremony that Hondurans are custom to the graduation was only an hour. A couple of people spoke and then they handed out the diplomas. It was my kind of ceremony... especially since I could only understand about 1/2 of it! You will be surprised to learn that while handing out the diplomas they played Funky Town and Queen! It certainly made me laugh as it came on. All and all it was a good day.
